Throughout the course of this sustained investigation, I was guided by the question "what does it mean to experience life as a woman in modern times?" Women today are consistently compared to the women that came before them as an excuse to dismiss their still prevalent inequality, and I wanted to show not only the real, very painful struggles of women today but also our range of emotions. To successfully accomplish this goal in a way that encouraged the viewer to examine their inner dialogue when it comes to women, I weaved in and out of deep personal pieces and societally relevant pieces.
