Welcome.

I’m glad you’re stopping by my site. Below you can learn about the values I hold as a journalist, artist and student

I want to show the parts of the human experience that can’t be shown through writing.  I have taken art courses every year of my education, and each course has contributed to my well-rounded understanding of art theory and my curiosity to understand more. It was through the combination of journalism and art that I began communications design and learned that writing and design can add to each other in a complimentary and impactful way. I hold the very strong conviction that the creatives of the world hold the power to make massive amounts of change in society when banded together.

Grades are important, but learning is necessary. As a 4.0 student with a busy academic schedule, I care a lot about keeping my grades high and my classes challenging. However, I have come to the conclusion that the only thing that truly matters about schoolwork is the amount that the student retains. Marks on a paper that show you did well in school mean nothing if you didn’t learn the materials. Taking care of your mind, giving your best effort, and being relentlessly curious are the only traits that are required in a true academic.

I am dedicated to the craft of unbiased and accurate journalism. On my high school magazine I was able to experience many different facets of journalism that encouraged my interest and passion for the field.  In 2022, I was named one of the top 5 student journalists in the nation by the Journalism Education Association. I take pride in my work and am consistently striving toward being better at reporting. I have come a long way on my journalistic journey, and I intend to continue on a path of improvement throughout my education and career. Now, I study journalism and interaction design at Northeastern University in Boston.
